"La esperanza" ("Hope") (2021), 18 x 18 cm, woodblock engraving on pear wood, is a work in the key of a self-portrait.
It showed the ecological terror facing the region because of agrochemicals, burnings, drought and, of course, my own emotional state.
Selected for the 64th Salón Manuel Belgrano at the Museo Sívori (Buenos Aires, 2021), in the series "Resignaciones". Also included in the itinerant 5th Triennial Exhibition of the Wood Engravers’ Network (USA, 2024), which opened at Stockton University, New Jersey.
Copies of the edition are held in the collections of the Museu da Xilogravura (Campos do Jordão, Brazil, 10/25) and the Centro Cultural Contraviento (Rosario, Argentina, 2/25), as well as in the private collections of Jose Augusto Hernandez Miranda, Luis Marina (5/25), Paul Constance (20/25) and Beatriz Ema (21/25).
